Q. What is the expertise of Jaldhara Technologies as a water and waste water management solutions provider?
A. We design, engineer, supply, install and commission optimised, decentralised and on-site treatment solution products for water, waste water and effluent. Operating under the brand name Greywater, our GREWA product range is purpose-built and follows the philosophy of “No Waste” concept in all our treatment schemes.
Q.Since hospitality sector consumes a lot of water and generates a lot of waste water, how does your technology helps the sector in water and waste water management on a day to day basis ?
A. Our GREWA range of product solutions are state-of-the-art and packaged in their basic form. Specialising in smallest footprint, low operating cost and plug and play, waste water treatment with recycle-ready capability, we work on setting new benchmarks in treatment efficiencies. The main focus is application of all the products in various point-of-entry and point-of-discharge applications such as hotels, resorts, hospitals, residential complexes, commercial facilities, IT parks and various industries. All GREWA products work on a process which is fully automatic, simple-to-operate and time-based. These systems respond to flow and load variations automatically, which is why they can be easily expanded and scaled up, as and when required - a factor which is very important in the hotel industry considering the seasonal loads. Additionally, there is absolutely no odour or gas emission from any of our application solutions. This makes the entire GREWA waste water treatment product range very conducive in any class of hotel, residential or inhabited environment.
Q. What are the issues faced by the hospitality sector, especially hotel and restaurants, in water and waste water management side currently ?
A. While availability of fresh water is among the most important issues, choosing the appropriate treatment scheme and applicable solution for a hotel is also equally important. Among the factors contributing to such issues could be the possibility of intermittent operation (seasonal occupancy loads); power outages; large sized tanks and fairly big footprint of equipment spread; odour and noise; operation & maintenance; sometimes use of toxic chemicals; scalability; underground and over ground installation capability; recycle ready treatment methodologies, etc.
There are a few technologies going around, but selecting the most apt and efficient system seems to be the question. While doing so, a lot of users tend to focus only on the capital cost and not as much on the life cycle costs of the technology spread over time. Therefore, balancing the capital cost with the life cycle cost would be the best option. This could include power required to run the technology, chemicals, reagents, sludge disposal, operators and labour, repairs and maintenance.
Q. What are the main benefits that hotels and restaurants derive by using your technology solutions in waste water management ? How do you quantify it in terms of savings on an annual basis?
A. With individual unit capacities ranging between 2 cubic meters/day for specific smaller applications (resorts / clubs / restaurants / food courts), stand-alone villas or bungalows to 300 cubic meters/day and above in standard form for larger hotels, serviced apartment facilities, all plants are modular and can combine easily for increased capacity. The range includes both, Biological and Separation Technology and are ready to use and fully automatic. Offering lowest life-cycle opex with the least power consumption using no hazardous chemicals. we work on a shortest order-to-commisioning cycle for all our standard and purpose-built products.
Q. What is the present penetration of these solutions in the industry now ?
A. Our plants are installed in hotels, resorts, clubs, residential complexes, manufacturing industries, commercial complexes. Given the rapid growth with multi-national players entering in hotels, resorts, serviced apartments and other residential and commercial complexes across the country, we see enormous potential for implementing Global Best Practices in the water, waste water and sewage treatment methodologies in this sector. Especially, when all the hotels are constantly trying to raise-the-bar in terms of goods to their clients and making their facilities world class and acceptable to travelers from across the world, it is very important that all treatment facilities are made scalable and sustainable.
Q. How do you market these solutions to reach out to the target customers in the industry?
A. We have a direct marketing sales team spread across the country and operating from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. We also have channel partners and distributors in all the regions of the country. Collectively, the focus is to reach out to the target clients, educate them on how our advanced, smarter, plug-n-play, compact and low opex solutions can help their facility to, not just treat, but also recycle and reuse the waste water for beneficial non-potable uses, thereby reducing the stress on the availability of fresh water, especially for non-potable applications.
Q. What are the innovations that you plan to bring in in the coming year?
A. Improvement and innovation is an ongoing process at Jaldhara Technologies. We are dedicated to conserving, saving and protecting the environment from further degradation.
