
Jaypee Vasant Continental, New Delhi has been accredited with the ‘LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Rating’ by the USGBC (United States Green Building Council), acknowledging the hotel’s continuous dedication towards sustainable development and green building initiatives. LEED certification recognised Jaypee Vasant Continental, New Delhi as an example of sustainable design and demonstrates leadership in transforming the building industry.
Ajit Sharma, Joint President – Operations, Jaypee Hotels and Resorts revealed that the Jaypee Vasant Continental, New Delhi is the ninth hotel in India to get the coveted certification.
Manju Sharma, Managing Director, Jaypee Hotels and Resorts felt honoured with the recognition and thanked the team at the property for their steadfast support and USGBC for the required direction. “Savings were the motivational aspect of this sustainable exercise. Moreover, it was part of the corporate social responsibility and our contribution towards maintaining a green belt in the city. Undoubtedly, it was an eye opener in terms of conservation and efficient use of resources making the team more sensitive towards the brick and mortar structures,” she said.
