Thursday, March 23, 2017, 17:09 Hrs  [IST]

In order to give their partners and customers an experience of their product portfolio and how they can be integrated into the enterprise space, Panasonic India, leaders in enterprise solutions, has organised a ‘Connected Solutions’ showcase in Delhi recently. The company has plans to organise similar events in major cities in the country to showcase its prowess in futuristic technologies ranging from City Surveillance to Boardroom Solutions from 3D-Mapping to Retail Solutions, Education to Property Management Solutions, etc.

Panasonic Showcases Connected Solutions for a Smarter Living
The whole conference hall at The Lalit New Delhi was converted into dedicated spaces like Retail Solutions, Boardroom Solutions, Lounge solutions, Property Management Solution, Security Surveillance Solutions, Tough Books and Tough Pads, etc., for a daylong showcase of Panasonic Enterprise solutions under the title ‘Connected Solutions’. The hall was abuzz with activities where personnel where busy explaining features of each solution and the underlying technology behind it to business customers as per their interest.

Explaining the whole purpose of the event, Manish Sharma, President & CEO, Panasonic India and South-Asia, said, “Amidst the present digital paradigm, connected solutions define the way we function. Whether it is a regular office operation or a home solution staying connected through our smartphone or tablets has become a part of today’s lifestyle. Panasonic has always strived for smarter lives, and with an increased impetus on enterprise offerings we are taking another step forward to enhance and revolutionise consumers’ lives through our diverse range of connected products and services.”

Aimed at offering a smart and connected lifestyle for enterprise, SMBs and SOHOs alike these products and solutions have been widely acknowledged and extensively used across public and private institutions.

“Over the years, the customers are not looking for products in isolation. They are looking for solutions, especially with the advent of mobility, cloud, virtualisation, etc. Therefore, we are also trying to forge partnerships with eco-system partners. Instead of asking customers to take the product from us and take care of the pain points themselves, we want to give them comprehensive solutions with the help of eco-system partners. That is the idea behind Connected Solutions,” said Vijay Wadhwan, Business Head (Systems Solution Division (SSD), Panasonic India.

Hospitality industry is a major focus for Panasonic and 6 to 8% of their revenues come from hospitality solutions including PBX (PMS) solutions, surveillance solutions, digital signages, etc. “The Panasonic PBX system has all the softwares integrated from a hospitality standpoint. In the digital signages, we have video walls, displays that can be used by hotels and restaurants. In security surveillance, particularly after the unfortunate 26/11 incident, hotels and restaurants are very particular about the security systems. When it comes to security cameras, perimeter security or in-house security, we have entire range of products. We also have been able to create an ecosystem with our partner companies for video management, network operating centres, so that we can offer comprehensive solution for the security requirements,” said Wadhwan.

The recently introduced advanced versions of rugged tablets 4.7 inches and 10.1 inches are quite ideal for harsh in-restaurant environment, Wadhwan said. Rugged tablets earlier used in the homeland security and oil and gas sector, has made into the restaurant kitchen environment because of pervasive applications.

Talking about recent additions into their portfolio, Wadhwan said that the new hi-definition video conferencing (HDVC) solution can connect 24 locations. The new PBX system is IP-based. Panasonic is currently in certain eco-system partners to develop specific software solutions which could eventually be integrated to their hardware solutions, Wadhwan said.
