In order to make their blended Olive oil portfolio more appealing to health conscious and lifestyle conscious consumers, Modi Naturals, leading players in the edible oil segment, has launched two new variants – Oleev Health and Oleev Smart – in the India market. One of the pioneers in the blended olive category, Modi Naturals has ‘Olive Active’, a blended brand of Olive oil and Rice Bran oil, already in the market, besides the natural extra virgin, extra light, and pomace oil.

According to Akshay Modi, Executive Director, Modi Naturals, they have started the roll out and the new variants will be available pan-India in the next three to four months time.  “Today India is grappling with lifestyle disorders and health issues. Heart diseases and vitamin deficiencies are affecting common man. The two new brands ‘Oleev Health’ and ‘Oleev Smart’ have been specially positioned for consumers to fight modern day stress, keep the heart healthy and address key vitamin deviancies and enjoy overall wellness.”

Oleev Health has high amount of Oryzanol that lowers bad cholesterol. It is also enriched with a good dose of Omega 3, 6 and 9 along with other good lipids (MUFA, PUFA and ALAs) for overall health and fitness. On the other hand, Oleev Smart is super enriched with Vitamins A, D, E & K, Oryzanol and Omega fatty acids. While Oryzanol improves blood circulation and lowers overall bad cholesterol levels, Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9 fatty acids along with other good lipids support and promote healthy heart, the company claims.

Talking about the blended oil category, Modi said that the segment is growing at 15 to 17% a year and the growth for the company has been quite higher than the market average because they are new in the consumer retail as a brand. “We have grown from zero to INR 100 cr in the branded edible oil category in the last four years,” he said. Although the company hasn’t done any targeted marketing in the HoReCa, Modi said that their 15 litre packaging of Oleev Pomace is quite popular with the institutional market.
