S. M. Engineering Works: An ace in making kitchen paraphernalia

Commercial Kitchen equipments are one of the crucial aspects that are required by any hospitality organisation. Moinuddin N. Sayyed, Owner, S. M. Engineering Works in an interaction with Akshay Nayak speaks about the company’s timeline in the commercial kitchen equipment manufacturing space.

Hospitality essentially equates to providing the customers with top notch amenities and comfort at the hospitality institution’s disposal. Be it simple gestures to welcome them in the hotels or serving them with the state-of-the-art delicacies brought before them on elegant trolleys in many of the reputed hotels.

S. M. Engineering Works has created a prime position for itself, where the hotel equipment manufacturing vertical is majorly unorganised with a few players.

Moinuddin N. Sayyed, Owner, S. M. Engineering Works reminisces how he started from a scratch with minimum investment and eight workers in 2002 till now with an annual turnover of about 3 Crore and almost 50 workers by producing products that are crucial to the hospitality industry integrally which include hotels, cafes, restaurants, etc.

Sayyed says that the cornerstone for S. M. Engineering Works’ success has been the company’s motto to check customer satisfaction. He says that each product is personalised and designed according to the need of the customer. The customer may select from the range of products and then further list down the requirements which are then carried out by their team of professionals.



S. M. Engineering works produces a range of hotel and restaurant kitchen equipment including Commercial refrigerator, Service display counter, Commercial kitchen equipment and trolleys, Food processing equipment, Kitchenware, Barware, Food and Beverage Serving products, and much more.

Sayyed further says that their constant product development, timely delivery of products, affordable prices, and after-sales services add to the exponential growth of the company in the hotel equipment manufacturing sector.

The company has a list of local clienteles to its profile along with some popular hospitality organisations like The Peninsula Grand Hotel, Hotel Le Meridien, and Theobroma. It delivers the products Pan India and looks forward to expanding its avenues in the foreign markets as well.
