Cygnett Hotels to target 12 to 15 new signings a year till 2020

Signs 11 new hotels in the last six months

Cygnett Hotels & Resorts, a hotel management company which manages Cygnett brand of hotels in India, will be looking for major expansion pan-India and neighbouring South Asian countries, in coming years. According to Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director of the company they will be targeting to sign between 12 to 15 new hotels a year till 2020.  The company had signed 11 new hotels in the last six months to become 30 hotels strong company with 15 of them already operational.
 
Cygnett has recently opened three new properties Cygnett Park Di Arch, Lucknow, Cygnett Inn Silver Leaf, Nawanshahr and Cygnett Lite Udaipur. The company is all set to add three more this month which include Cygnett Inn Dwarka in Gujarat, Cygnett Lite Asia Shripati, Katra, J&K, and Cygnett Lite Alwar, Rajasthan.

“We have also signed properties in Patna, Itanagar, Gangtok and Kolkata. We are also in the processing of finalising couple of good projects in Delhi NCR,” Sarkar said. He said that the hotel company has been able to deliver “better value” to owners because of their investment in technology. “We are getting immense support from all over India and overseas by hotel owners. This has further encouraged and challenged us to dig more and provide them with the best technologies and talent for managing the properties. To maintain international standards, we have introduced two new technology that is; New CRM (Cloud Base) and Next generation booking engine Cygnett CX for the customer satisfaction,” he said.

Sarkar said that the company pursues largely asset light Management contract model with a small percentage of franchise/manchise model. If opportunities come at key locations, the company would also be open to lease model of partnerships with owners, Sarkar informed.  “Our South Asia expansion will be largely franchise-based,” he informed.
