On the occasion of celebrating Christmas with a gala buffet on December 23, 2017, Brand CAI (Culinary Academy of India) attempted a Guinness World record this year for building a colossal Cupcake Christmas tree.

The tree was 57 feet tall with 51 branches and weighed 850 kgs. The tier-like branches held 7500 Cup Cakes, with the Cup Cakes of three different sizes and 20 natural flavours like- chocolate, red velvet, strawberry, lemon, pineapple, orange, mocha, coconut, pistachio, etc. The Cup Cakes were decorated with sugar paste flowers, edible Christmas goodies, chocolate butterflies, edible sprinklers, M&M’s, etc.

Around 100 budding chefs from final year & post graduate students in culinary arts under the guidance of experienced faculty, trainers & alumni worked on the structure for a week in advance to erect the Christmas tree.
