The Oberoi Group has announced the highly anticipated re-opening of The Oberoi, New Delhi after comprehensive renovation which commenced shortly after the hotel celebrated its Golden Anniversary in 2016.

The Oberoi, New Delhi’s multi-million dollar transformation was directed by the internationally renowned designer Adam D. Tihany who took Edward Lutyens’ modernist vision as his inspiration.

The 220 rooms, including 34 suites, are more spacious and luxurious with abundant natural light. What remains unchanged though is the hotel’s enviable location. Striking views of Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Delhi Golf Course, India’s oldest golf course, can be enjoyed from the hotel. The addition of advanced air filters throughout the hotel will provide clean and fresh air.

P.R.S. Oberoi, Executive Chairman, The Oberoi Group said, “We are pleased to re-open The Oberoi, New Delhi, a hotel that offers the highest standards of luxury and hospitality. The opening is a significant moment for us. When my late father Rai Bahadur M.S. Oberoi opened the hotel in the autumn of 1965, he wished it to be the most modern luxury hotel. I am confident that The Oberoi, New Delhi will continue this tradition.”

The Oberoi, New Delhi has partnered with two internationally acclaimed chefs. At Omya, the new authentic Indian restaurant with an international flair, diners can enjoy a menu created by acclaimed Chef Alfred Prasad, who held a Michelin star for thirteen years. Chef Andrew Wong of the famed ‘A. Wong’ Michelin star restaurant, has designed the menu and is the Mentor Chef of the rooftop Chinese restaurant, Baoshuan.

The new rooftop bar, Cirrus9, offers specially curated beverages and panoramic views. threesixtyo is back with the same fashionable edge that made it the most successful restaurant in New Delhi.

The meetings and events venues feature a new look ballroom, discreet meeting rooms and a 24-hour business centre equipped with cutting edge technology.
