RN Sports Marketing in collaboration with Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) will organise India’s first ever Adventure Sports Expo in Delhi between January 27 and 29, 2018.  To be held at Four Points by Sheraton New Delhi, the Adventure Sports Expo Asia will see around 60 adventure gear brands from across the globe exhibiting their products.  The organisers are expecting around 500 delegates from both India, South Asia and other parts of the world participating in the three-day exhibition and conference.

Speaking at a media briefing, Rishi Narain, Founder & MD, RN Sports Marketing said that the objective behind the show is to promote India and Indian adventure to Indian people.  He said that Indian people has just started exploring outdoors and therefore a show like this to share best practices in adventure sports and tourism is quite timely.  “We will also have an activity zone where we will have zip lining, wall climbing, sky-diving machine, segway, etc. within the constraints of space,” he said.  He said that experts in adventure sports from across the globe will be participating and sharing their experiences.

Leading adventure tour operators will also be participating and exhibiting their tours at the exhibition.  Narain said that they will be inviting lot of institutions like corporate houses and schools to participate in the event.

With government and the Tourism Ministry declaring 2018 as Year of Adventure Tourism, the show will take the whole debate to the next orbit, said Ajeet Bajaj, MD of Snow Leiopard Adventures, and a key functionary of ATOAI.  “We are all excited that after a long time the country is celebrating adventure sports and tourism,” he said.  He said that the perception that adventure sports and tourism can be life threatening doesn’t hold much sense if it is conducted with professional gears following best practices of adventure under the professional guidance.  He said that the expo will go a long way in bringing international best practices to India and making India the next Adventure Travel hub of the world.
