The newly opened store offers a great opportunity to general public, design professionals and their clients to look at and experience the best of modern design in an expansive environment. A spacious zone inside the showroom exhibits a selection of the Flou’s trend setting and innovative designs including the ‘Gentleman Collection’ which is a heady mix of elegance and luxury.

Talking to Hospitality Biz about the plans for India, Kumar said, “Flou is known to introduce a new sleep culture worldwide with its iconic designs. We want people in India to experience the same luxury and comfort. Apart from just selling the product, our focus will also be on educating the people on the proposition of products and designs.”

Elaborating on pricing and targeting strategy Kumar added, “Our prices will be competitive and in line with other players in the market. While our primary focus will be mid-market consumer, we will also be open for institutional tie ups with hospitality brands. We are certain Flou will be very well accepted by the Indian market.”

Sharing his views on the Indian market Massimiliano Messina, President, FLOU SpA, said, “We are convinced that the market in India has enormous potential, it is young and the people are attracted to all things beautiful; their available income and purchase power are growing. Where furnishings and furniture are concerned, the Indian market has shown great interest for Italian design and for products with high aesthetic and functional qualities. In this context, Flou has enormous potential that starts from the company’s 40 years of specialist experience in the ‘Art of Sleeping’, successively extended to include the concept of ‘total living’ applied throughout the home."

The opening of the store was graced among others by Lorenzo Angeloni, Italian Ambassador to India; Massimiliano Messina, President, Flou; and eminent architects and interior designers. The Kanu Kitchen Kulture in also know to introduce some of the iconic brand in the country including Hacker Kitchen and Hülsta.
