Peru’s Commercial Office and its delegation will be debuting as participant in the AHAAR 2018 that will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from March 13-17.
AHAAR, the International Food and Hospitality Fair, deemed as one of Asia‘s leading food and hospitality trade shows is in its 33rd year and over time has grown by leaps and bounds. The expo extends an opportunity for the visitors and exhibitors to network, exhibit products, gauge market trends, and generate sales over four days.
Peru is participating in the event with an aim to promote the country as an agricultural land, supplying to countries across the globe. Indian importers also have shown a growing interest in Peruvian superfoods, especially avocados, leading to the consumption in India to increase steadily since 2016. According to a statement, in 2015, Peru became the second largest exporter of table grapes- Red Globe variety- to India. Other produce that Peru exports to India includes Sacha Inchi, Quinoa, and Camu Camu, amongst others. The Peruvian companies participating in the event are Agromix Industrial SAC., Vida Andina SAC., Machu Picchu Foods SAC., and GLINT SAC. |
