IndiaHotelReview.com or IHR, an online travel community and hotel booking portal, was recently awarded the best travel website of 2008. The award was presented by MetrixLab, a Europe-based global online market research company. According to MetrixLab, the criterion for selection was based on content, navigation, ease of use and design, along with the number of votes received by the website from users across the globe. IndiaHotelReview scored on both fronts. Other players included Expedia, Makemytrip, Yatra, Air India, KLM, Tripadvisor, Travelocity, Indian Railways and IRCTC.
Ankit Rastogi, Co-Founder and CEO, IHR said, “We are really excited about the awards considering the previous winners were literally the who’s who of the travel industry. Last year, Yatra won in the category of best website whereas the most popular website was Makemytrip.” Attributing the outstanding achievement to a series of innovative practices, he further stated, “We try to provide end to end solutions to our valued customers. This includes a curious mix of hotel bookings, packages and QNA (Question and answer). |
