HRAWI conducts FSSAI’S Food Safety Supervisory training in Advance Catering programme in Maharashtra

Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) in association with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) recently conducted a Food Safety Supervisory training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme at the Hotel Jakson Inn, Satara district in Maharashtra. Through the programme, 36 hospitality professionals in the region were trained and certified under the supervision of Trainer Pravin Andrews.

“When a food handler working in a hotel or restaurant establishment completes this program, they acquire awareness, knowledge and skills pertaining to the food safety standards. While there is much impetus given on food safety across all reputed establishments, understanding standards is equally important. This programme is aimed at imparting knowledge on this important aspect and will benefit the establishment in the long run,” says Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, President, HRAWI.
Over the last couple of years, the Association has successfully trained and certified 1563 hospitality professionals across India’s Western region.
