Sopexa to conduct FAM for Indian importers

Conducts French wine trail in Mumbai

With an aim to increase the movement of French food and beverage products in the country, Sopexa India, the Indian arm of the food and beverage marketing promotion board of France plans to conduct several engagement programmes with the hospitality industry here. It also has plans to conduct a familiarisation trip for prime Indian importers to various Chateaus in France as also for an understanding of the French appellations across the wine trail by end 2009. Sopexa India is focussing on conducting several promotion campaigns for the Indian market. It will conduct the same through education and engagement programmes. It is also working closely with several hotel chains for these promotional programmes.

Sopexa India recently conducted a French wine trail in Mumbai in association with celebrated sommelier, Magandeep Singh, to display an array of premium French wines in the country. The event featured 147 bottles of French wines from various wine producing regions of France. Singh also conducted tasting of about 12 wines. “The featured wines aren't available in India and are of premium quality.
