Moët Hennessy’s Chandon marks 2nd consecutive win at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021

Thursday, July 22, 2021, 11:22 Hrs  [IST]

Chandon India, the sparkling wine from the Moët Hennessy portfolio made with the finest of locally sourced grapes has won two awards at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021. The sparkling wine was awarded a silver for Chandon India Brut & bronze for Chandon India Rosé. The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is the world’s largest and most influential wine competition. With wines tasted from 56 countries by global wine connoisseurs and masters of wine, over a span of 15 days, this edition was by far the biggest event. Reinforcing the brand's unparalleled quality and consistent craftsmanship. Chandon India won the awards for the second time in a row at this prestigious international event. Chandon Brut and Chandon Rosé reveal complex flavors and intense aromas creating a complete sensory experience with every sip. Pale straw yellow to a golden hue with fine persistent bubbles, Chandon Brut is created with a combination of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Rich, decadent aromatics of acacia, honey and pineapple, the feel is rewarding, annexed to tropical notes of nectarine and mango. Refined and classy. Whereas Chandon Rosé is an elegant, fresh salmon pink colour with fine persistent bubbles. Made with Shiraz, it has intense whiffs of ripe cherries with flavors of red fruit undertones that leads to an intense and creamy finish. (Tasting notes taken from the Decanter website - Chandon India Rose & Chandon India Brut ) Speaking on the accolades, Kaushal Khairnar - Chandon India Winemaker said, “We are thrilled to have our wines tasted and recognized by the wine industry’s finest professionals. It’s truly an honor and motivates us to elevate the craftsmanship we at Chandon India offer.” Moët Hennessy India introduced Chandon Brut and Chandon Rosé handcrafted from grapes, home grown in Nashik's Dindori region. Chandon is the first offering from Moët Hennessy to be produced in India.
