The FHRAI Institute of Hospitality Management (FHRAI-IHM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sattvik Council of India (SCI) to offer hospitality students a course in ‘Sattvik Lead Auditor Program’. The MoU was signed between Mr Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, Vice President of Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), and Mr Abhishek Biswas, Founder of SCI. The course is a comprehensive three-week training programme for students and professionals interested in pursuing a career in the rapidly growing vegetarian certification vertical. The course will be particularly beneficial for those students who choose to pursue a degree in vegetarian specialisation. The programme aims to provide students with the required knowledge and skills to plan and conduct internal and external audits in accordance with Sattvik management systems in various industries.

“We are pleased to inform FHRAI-IHM will now be offering another value-add to students’ academics through the latest collaboration with the Sattvik Council of India. The course will be process driven approach to Sattvik management systems and auditing prominent industries within the Sattvik umbrella. We applaud SCI for crafting such a well-designed programme and urge hospitality students and professionals especially; those who are pursuing a degree in vegetarian specialisation to consider enrolling for this course,” says Mr Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, Vice President, FHRAI.

The Sattvik Lead Auditor Program contains four components (SCIT2079001): -

1. SCTN2079011 - Training in implementing & managing the quality as per the Sattvik standards

2. SCTN2079021 - Training under the Vegetarian Kitchen Management standards

3. SCTN2079031 - Training under Vegetarian hospitality standards

4. SCTN2079041 - Training under Vegetarian friendly railway services

“SCI has always envisioned transforming certification into education and training from the start. It’s a huge remarkable day in the history for both of the organizations. The student community will benefit from this arrangement as they will now be able to pursue the training programme in Sattvik Lead Auditor and also secure a good job. There is a gap in demand and supply of food auditors currently in the market especially, in the vegetarian field. By launching this course, we aim to diminish this gap,” concludes Mr Abhishek Biswas, Founder, SCI.
