Marriott International and Cherfah Company Ltd under a long-term management agreement will open Thailand’s third JW Marriott-branded property in Phang Nga province. The 298-room property, JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, slated to be launched in November1, 2009 is located along a one kilometre stretch of Khuk Khak Beach. Phuket International Airport is an hour’s drive from the resort.
According to a report in asiatraveltips.com, JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa will have guest rooms in four main primary wings. The guest rooms are Thai-inspired and will feature teak wood appointments and rich Thai silks. All the rooms will have bed and bath linens and amenities, a 40-inch LCD flat-screen television, seating area, Internet access, a balcony with outdoor seating or deck.
For dining and entertainment, the resort will have seven restaurants and bars. Restaurant concepts will have Waterfront, an all-day, beachfront dining facility with outdoor seating and a permanent buffet.
