The 88-room Hotel Aditya Park in Hyderabad, managed by Sarovar Hotels Pvt Ltd, recently moved out of Carlson branding. The owners of the property, which was earlier branded as Hotel Aditya Park Inn, franchised under the Park Inn brand of Carlson hotels, has decided to go ahead with the domestic hotel chain’s management, while withdrawing from the international brand.

Speaking about the same with Hospitality Biz, Anil Madhok, Managing Director, Sarovar Hotels Pvt Ltd stated, “When an owner adopts an international brand, there are high expectations for increased productivity. However, in some cities, essentially driven by domestic sales, international brands cannot ensure high productivity through their global sales network.” This prompted the property owners of Hotel Aditya Park to move away from the international brand, which also reduced their capital expenditure. Sarovar Hotels has received similar requests from other owners as well, however, they are discouraging such requests, Madhok added.

Through its own reservation system, Sarovar Hotels produces around 10,000 room nights per month.
