Chef Abhijit Saha, Founding Director and Chef of Avant Garde Hospitality, which owns Caperberry, the modern Spanish cuisine restaurant and Tapas Lounge in Bengaluru has been awarded ‘Chef Entrepreneur of the year’ award by The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA) and World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS). The award was presented during the National Culinary Congress, which was held at Hyderabad recently.
Saha been rewarded for his entrepreneurial ventures, besides his contribution to the Chef profession. The award recognises the IFCA Culinary talent that exemplifies the highest standard of professionalism among Chefs, through certification, continuing education and training, development of young culinarians and community involvement.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Abhijit Saha was the Director - Food and Services and Executive Chef at The Park, Bangalore. Prior to joining The Park, he worked at The Manor, New Delhi as Executive Chef and with the Taj Group of Hotels for a period of eight years, where he started his career as Kitchen Management trainee in 1990. |
