GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) in association with Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department will host Pan India Security Summit 2010 at Novotel Hyderabad Airport on July 19 and 20. The summit will be inaugurated by E S L Narasimhan, Governor, Andhra Pradesh on July 19 and will be attended by around 350 delegates from the security fraternity, corporate world, government official, public sector, manufacturers, vendors, service providers of the security products/solutions and NGOs. The fee for each delegate is Rs 12,500, for two is Rs 20,000 and for three is Rs 25,000.

The business sessions which will be conducted during the summit includes: Disaster management preparedness: the current scenario and the road ahead; technological advances in integrated security management; integrated security solutions; Indian security scenario from the corporate perspective; cyber crime: an imminent threat, are we prepared for it?; enhancing performance standards of private security industry: need for professional training; challenges in securing strategic assets in the post liberalisation era; prevailing security scenario and the Indian corporate world: issues and challenges etc.

According to a GHIAL spokesperson, the summit will serve as an appropriate platform for professionals and experts on security, asset protection and risk mitigation to discuss and shape the strategies for meeting the future challenges. The summit aims to bring on a common platform — all the stake holders in the field of security and disaster management. The deliberations will be summarised and a strategy/perspective paper will be brought out for future guidance at the end of the summit. This will also serve as recommendations to the policy makers to fine tune the strategy at a higher level for addressing future challenges.
