Moments of Anticipation
Having read the ‘FHRAI Pre-Budget Memorandum for the Union Budget 2012-13’, it is clear that the hospitality industry has its woes. This memorandum has probably not changed a lot over the years, apart from getting longer. It is also not a hidden secret that the hospitality and tourism industry is considered ‘elitist’ by the government. With the enormous taxes that are levied, the government is ignoring the large number of domestic travellers, and that too from the middle class section of society.
